MILWAUKEE - Sophomore guard Arlesia Morse has been named to the BIG EAST honor roll for the week of Dec. 31, the conference office announced on Monday.

Morse led Marquette to a victory in its only games last week, a 77-61 defeat over Loyola Chicago. The sophomore tallied a career-best 25 points and pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds for her first-ever double-double. Morse shot 7-for-26 from the field, including three from long distance and sank eight free throws.

The Golden Eagles will play in a final non-conference contest on Wednesday as they travel to Central Michigan. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT. MU will open BIG EAST play on Saturday hosting Syracuse at the Al McGuire Center.
