MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team will look to return to winning ways on Saturday with a road contest at Georgetown. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. CT at McDonough Arena and a live stream is available at guhoyas.com.

The Golden Eagles (10-3, 1-1) are coming off a narrow two-point (63-61) loss against Villanova on Dec. 31. Senior Katherine Plouffe led four players in double digits with 14 points and was just shy of a double double with nine rebounds in her return to the squad after missing three games. Classmate Katie Young recorded 11 points and grabbed six boards. The duo leads MU in scoring with 17.7 and 13.0 points per game, respectively.

Marquette Earns a 51-48 Road Victory at Georgetown
Sophomore Arlesia Morse sank two free-throws in the final ten seconds of play, which sealed a 51-48 victory for the Marquette women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon at Georgetown.

Georgetown (6-7, 0-1) lost its BIG EAST conference opener in a 65-63 overtime decision to Creighton on Jan. 1. Natalie Butler recorded her ninth double double of the campaign with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The freshman is the league's leading rebounder with 12.8 boards per game and leads the Hoyas in scoring with 15.3 points each night.

Saturday is the ninth meeting between the two teams and MU owns an impressive 7-1 record over Georgetown. Last season, the Golden Eagles earned a 51-48 road victory at McDonough as junior Arlesia Morse sank two free-throws, which sealed the win for MU. Morse totaled 15 points in the game.

Following the trip to Georgetown, MU will host Seton Hall at the Al McGuire Center Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
