MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team looks to earn a conference victory and is back in action on Sunday, Jan. 10 when the squad hosts Georgetown. Tip-off is slated for Noon Central time, live on FS2 with Patrick Reed handling play-by-play and Trish Babcock-McGraw providing color commentary. The game can also be seen on FOX Sports GO with a cable provider log in.

The Golden Eagles (5-10, 0-4) are looking for a victory in BIG EAST play after another narrow loss, 82-75 to Villanova on Friday. Allazia Blockton continues to excel for MU in league action and is averaging 21.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists through four games. She is second overall and leads the league in conference-only games.

Marquette Outlasts Georgetown, 80-73
The Marquette University women's basketball team battled its way to an 80-73 victory over Georgetown Sunday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center.

Georgetown (9-6, 2-3) faltered at DePaul on Friday, 75-53, led by 13 points from Logan Battle. The Hoyas played DePaul fairly even in the first half, trailing the Blue Demons by just a point at the break before being outscored 41-20 in the second half. Dionna White leads Georgetown in scoring on the season with 14.1 points per game, while Dorothy Adomako is pulling down 5.9 rebounds per game.

Marquette will head back out on the road for two games next weekend as the squad travels to Xavier on Friday, Jan. 15 and Butler on Sunday, Jan. 17. Both games will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
