Katherine Plouffe Earns BIG EAST Honors

MILWAUKEE--Senior Katherine Plouffe has been recognized by the BIG EAST Conference for the second straight week and has been selected to the league's weekly honor roll. It is her fourth weekly honor of the season.
Plouffe led Marquette (12-3, 3-1) with 23 points in the Golden Eagles' lone game of the week, a 73-67 victory at Xavier. The forward grabbed nine rebounds and shot an even 50 percent (10-20) from the floor and dished out two assists. It was the sixth time this season that Plouffe has recorded 20+ points in a game.
Plouffe is currently the BIG EAST's leading scorer with 19.4 points per game and is second in rebounding with 10.8 rebounds each contest.
Marquette has just one game this week and will host St. John's on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center. Saturday will be the Golden Eagles' "We Back Pat" focusing on bringing support to The Pat Summitt Foundation.
