MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team remains undefeated in BIG EAST play and at the Al McGuire Center this season, putting both streaks to the test on Sunday when the Golden Eagles host Xavier at 2 p.m. CT.

The game airs on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Kent Sommerfeld and Kyle Dlablay calling the action.

Marquette (12-5, 6-0) escaped with a 69-67 win over Butler on Friday night as Natisha Hiedeman found Allazia Blockton under the basket with just 0.8 seconds left in the game. Blockton leads the Golden Eagles and the BIG EAST with 19.9 points per game. MU's top five scorers of Blockton, Natisha Hiedeman, Danielle King, Erika Davenport and Amani Wilborn all rank in the top-20 among BIG EAST scorers. The Golden Eagles are the only squad to have five scorers in the league's top-25.

Allazia Blockton reached 1,000 career points by tallying 22 points to lead four in double figures as the Marquette women’s basketball team completed a perfect weekend with an 86-71 victory at Xavier on Sunday afternoon.

Xavier enters Sunday with an 8-9 overall record and 1-5 mark in the BIG EAST. Imani Partlow leads the Musketeers as the lone double-digit scorer on the team with 10.1 points per game. Jada Byrd ranks 14th in field goal percentage, shooting at a 45 percent clip. Xavier fell at DePaul on Friday, 79-48.

Marquette leads the all-time series with Xavier, 10-7, including sweeping the season series by a +19.5 scoring margin and shooting 50.4 percent over the Musketeers.
