MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team opens a short two-game road swing on Tuesday, Jan. 15 when it travels to Seton Hall for a 6 p.m. CT tip.

Marquette (8-7, 0-2 BIG EAST) suffered back-to-back set backs to open conference play against Syracuse (Jan. 5) and No. 2/3 Connecticut (Jan. 12). In the last outing against the Huskies, senior Sarina Simmons scored a team-high 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. The Milwaukee, Wis. native is averaging 21.5 points in league contests.

Seton Hall (7-9, 2-1 BIG EAST) claimed victories over Pittsburgh (Jan. 5) and Cincinnati (Jan. 9), before falling to St. John's, 72-46, on Saturday, Jan. 12. Senior Brittany Morris leads the Pirates with 12.6 points, while redshirt sophomore Ka-Deidre Simmons has chipped in 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Since joining the BIG EAST Conference in 2005-06, Marquette has played Seton Hall on seven occasions, with the Golden Eagles owning a 5-2 advantage in those contests. MU topped the Pirates, 69-60, last season in Milwaukee.

Marquette will travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jan. 19 for a 2 p.m. CT match-up with the Panthers.
