MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team will be looking for its third win in-a-row on Sunday as the Golden Eagles welcome Butler to the Al McGuire Center on Sunday, Jan. 15 at Noon Central time.

Sunday's game will air live on FS1 with Lisa Byington and Sarah Kustok handling play-by-play and analyst duties.

Marquette (14-4, 5-2) rolled past Xavier on Friday, 85-61, and in earning its 14th win of the season, has already matched its win total from last season. Allazia Blockton led all starters in double figures with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Erika Davenport poured in her 10th double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 boards. Blockton leads the league with 17.0 points per contest, while Davenport is just shy of averaging a double-double with 12.9 points and 9.9 boards, but is averaging on in conference-only games with 11.9 points and 10.1 rebounds each time out. In BIG EAST games, the Golden Eagles have four players averaging double digits in points, with two other players just shy of double figures as McKayla Yentz and Amani Wilborn are at 9.3 points and 9.1 points, respectively.

Marquette Cruises Past Butler, 76-69
The victory brings Marquette's conference record back to an even 7-7 and improves the squad's record to an impressive 8-3 on their home floor.

Butler fell 100-69 on Friday and owns a 5-12 overall record with a 2-5 mark in league action, though the Bulldogs are 2-2 in the month of January. Butler is led by Tori Schickel who is the only BIG EAST player averaging a double-double with 13.5 points and 10.6 rebounds.

The two teams have met 14 times and Marquette owns a 7-7 record in the series, including three of the past four contests. Last season the Golden Eagles swept Butler in both regular season meetings.

After Sunday, Marquette will have a musch needed break after playing eight games in 18 days. The squad will have just one contest and head to league travel partner DePaul on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. CT, live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
