Marquette Continues Road Trip at Pittsburgh on Saturday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team concludes its two-game road swing on Saturday, Jan. 19 when it travels to Pittsburgh for a 2 p.m. CT tip. The game can be seen on Pitt Panthers Television and on pittsburghpanthers.com
On Tuesday Marquette (9-7 1-2 BIG EAST) defeated Seton Hall, notching its first BIG EAST victory of the 2012-2013 campaign.
Against the Pirates Marquette was led by sophomore sharp-shooter Arlesia Morse, who recorded 13 points, including the final five points of regulation. The Golden Eagles also received a strong contribution from junior Katherine Plouffe who recorded her fifth double-double of the season.
Pittsburgh has been struggling of late, dropping its previous three contests. The Panthers fell 61-32 on the road to St. John's (Jan. 16) in their most recent matchup. Pittsburgh is paced by junior Asia Logan, who leads the team in both scoring (16.0) and rebounding (7.7).
Since joining the BIG EAST Conference in 2005-2006, Marquette holds an 8-2 record all-time against Pittsburgh. Last season the Golden Eagles handled the Panthers with ease, posting a 72-48 victory in Milwaukee.
On Tuesday Jan. 22 Marquette returns home to host conference rival Louisville. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
