Marquette Hosts Creighton on Sunday

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team is back in action on Sunday when the squad hosts Creighton at 2 p.m. Central time at the Al McGuire Center. The game will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Matt Rodewald and Kyle Dlabay calling the action from the sidelines.
Marquette (8-11, 3-5) looks to continue its winning ways after a convincing 105-75 victory over Providence Friday night. The Golden Eagles' 105 points was a season-high for Marquette this season and a season-high among BIG EAST teams as the squad had seven players post double figures. MU has won three of its last four games since earning a win over Georgetown on Jan. 10.
The Golden Eagles are led by freshman Allazia Blockton with 18.9 points per game and a team-high 7.7 rebounds per contest. Blockton has earned eight consecutive BIG EAST weekly awards and is shooting 45.8 percent from the field.
Creighton fell at DePaul on Friday night, 81-63, led by freshman Audrey Faber who recorded 17 points and eight rebounds. The Bluejays enter Sunday with a 10-10 record overall and a 4-4 BIG EAST mark, which is currently 6th place in the standings.
Last season, Creighton swept MU in both season contests.
Marquette begins the second half of BIG EAST play next weekend as the squad welcomes St. John's and Seton Hall to the Al on Friday, Jan. 29 and Sunday, Jan. 31, respectively. Both games will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
