Marquette Hosts Creighton on Sunday

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team (4-15, 0-8) will continue its homestand on Sunday as the squad welcomes Creighton (9-10, 2-6) to the Al McGuire Center. The game will be streamed live and for free at GoMarquette.com beginning at 2:00 p.m. CT.
Marquette will look to bounce back following a 66-58 loss to Providence on Friday night. Senior Arlesia Morse led the squad in scoring with 19 points and no turnovers. Freshman Kenisha Bell tallied nine points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Bell leads the Golden Eagles for the year in scoring with 14.1 points per game. Senior Apiew Ojulu is grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game, which is 10th in the BIG EAST.
Creighton fell at DePaul on Friday night, 96-71, led by 15 points from Marissa Janning. Janning leads the squad in scoring this year with 15.2 points per game and ranks eighth in the conference, while her 37.7 percent shooting from the three-point line is fourth overall in the BIG EAST.
Last season MU and Creighton split the season series with each team winning on its home court. The Blue Jays own a 6-3 record in the all-time series.
The Golden Eagles will remain home following Sunday's game and host Villanova (Jan. 30) and Georgetown (Feb. 1) next weekend.
