MU to Host Louisville Wednesday Night

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team looks to bounce back after a 69-63 defeat by Syracuse when it hosts Louisville Wed, Jan. 26 at the Al McGuire Center. Tip-off against the Cardinals will be televised live on Sports32 with Steve "The Homer" True (play-by-play) and Kareeda Chones-Aguam calling the action.

Following its game against the Cardinals, Marquette (15-4, 3-3 BIG EAST) will hit the road for Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jan. 29.
With 13 points, six assists and three steals against Syracuse, Angel Robinson became the first player in program history to amass over 1,500 points, 500 assists and 250 steals for her career. She currently leads the team and stands 16th in the BIG EAST with 13.7 points per game, is third in the league with 4.9 assists per game and leads the league in steals with 2.8 per game.
The Cardinals (13-7, 4-2 BIG EAST) enter the game with Marquette following an 83-47 win over Cincinnati on Jan. 22. The Golden Eagles will have to find a way to stifle Louisville's potent offense which is averaging 77.1 points per game and has topped the 80-point mark nine times this season. MU is currently limiting its opponents to score just 56.9 points per contest.
Monique Reid, a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection, leads the Cardinals with 16.2 points per game. The Cardinals were picked to finish eighth in the BIG EAST and currently sits in sixth place just ahead of Marquette.
