MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team concludes its two-game home stand Saturday against conference rival DePaul. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on Time Warner Sports 32.

The Golden Eagles will be working with Soles for Jesus for the DePaul game. Fans are encouraged to bring a pair of shoes (new or used) to donate. In exchange for shoes if you buy one ticket you can get one free for Saturday's game.

Saturday is also Alumni Day. Over 20 Alumni are expected to return to Milwaukee and will be recognized during halftime of the game. In addition, the five honorary starters for the game will all be former players. There will be pre-game festivities for alumni which includes a tour and pre-game celebration.

Marquette (10-10, 2-5 BIG EAST) despite a half-time lead, fell to conference foe Rutgers 72-54 on Wednesday evening at the Al McGuire Center. Junior forward Katherine Plouffe, notched her team-high sixth double-double of the season and sophomore sharper shooter Arlesia Morse helped pace the Golden Eagles with nine points and three assists.

The DePaul Blue Demons (16-5, 5-2 BIG EAST) enter the contest riding a three-game winning streak posting consecutive victories against Providence, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. DePaul is lead by sophomore guard Brittany Hrynko, who is averaging 15.7 points per game along with 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds. Senior guard Anna Martin leads the Blue Demons in scoring at 16.2 per contest while fellow senior Katherine Harry paces the squad in rebounding at 11.3 a game.

The Marquette versus DePaul series dates back to the late 1970's. The Blue Demons have historically had the Golden Eagles' number, holding a 35-21 advantage all time. Last season DePaul claimed a 71-59 victory at home in the lone meeting between the two schools.
