Marquette Continues Road Trip and Travels to Villanova on Sunday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team will head to Pennsylvania to take on Villanova in the Wildcats' Play 4 Kay game this Sunday, Feb. 10. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT at The Pavilion. The game will be streamed online through Nova Nation's All-Access channel for a fee.

Marquette (11-11, 3-6 BIG EAST) looks to rebound after a 94-37 loss on the road to No. 3/2 Connecticut on Feb. 6. Freshman Brooklyn Pumroy led the team with 11 points and was the only Golden Eagle to finish in double figures. Redshirt freshman Lauren Tibbs finished with six points and four rebounds.

Villanova is coming off a tough 59-52 loss No. 2 Notre Dame. That was Villanova's first home loss on the season, bringing its record to 16-6 and 5-4 in the BIG EAST. Senior Laura Sweeney leads Villanova with 12.6 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game, while her classmate Rachel Roberts is shooting 41% from downtown.

Sunday is the 10th all-time meeting between the two squads and the Golden Eagles own a 6-3 record in the series. MU has won the last four games in-a-row.

Following this game, Marquette will conclude its road trip at Cincinnati for a conference matchup on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. CT.
