Marquette Set to Play at Cincinnati on Wednesday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team concludes its season-long three-game road trip on Wednesday, Feb. 13, when it travels to take on Cincinnati at 6 p.m. Central time.
Marquette (12-11, 4-6 BIG EAST) is coming off a 60-56 road victory at Villanova on Sunday, Feb. 10. Leading scorer Katherine Plouffe continued to be MU's offensive outlet, scoring a team-high 15 points, while senior Sarina Simmons chipped in 13. Every player who stepped on the court for the Golden Eagles recorded points.
MU used a team effort on the glass in the win over Villanova, out rebounding the Wildcats, 42-27. Sophomores Arlesia Morse and Cristina Bigica, along with freshman Brooklyn Pumroy, each tallied seven rebounds.
Cincinnati (8-15, 0-10 BIG EAST) enters the contest with Marquette riding a 10-game losing streak. The Bearcats are lead by redshirt junior Dayeesha Hollins, who is averaging 15 points and 4.5 rebounds this season. Sophomore Tiffany Turner has on of the conference's top field goal percentages this season with a 53.9 percent (55-of-102) mark from the floor to go along with 6.2 rebounds per game.
Following the contest with the Bearcats, Marquette will return home for the first time since Feb. 2 to battle No. 2/3 Notre Dame on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1:30 p.m. The game will be Marquette's Play4Kay pink game and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 as part of the network's Play4Kay coverage. This is one of three Play4Kay games that MU will participate in this year.
