Feb. 16, 2015
MILWAUKEE - Marquette University women's basketball senior Arlesia Morse was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll after her pivotal role in knocking off No. RV/24 Seton Hall during her final game in the Al McGuire Center.
Against the Pirates, Morse totaled 22 points after hitting 13-of-14 free throws and grabbed seven rebounds. The Flint, Michigan native hit several key shots from the charity stripe down the stretch to help seal the victory on senior day.
With her performance from the line, Morse has maintained a free-throw percentage of 93.2 percent (124-of-133), which leads all Division I competitors.
Sunday's final game in the Al McGuire Center marked Morse's 122nd career game played in a Marquette uniform. She is now two games short of 11th all-time, a record held by head coach Carolyn Kieger.
Her 22 points also vaulted her into 10th on the Golden Eagles All-Time Leading Scorers list with 1,505 career points.
During MU's two weekend games, Morse averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists, while playing over 30 minutes in both contests.
Morse's strong play has helped the Golden Eagles win three of their last five games after losing 10 straight games to begin conference play.
Marquette will finish with three-straight road games to finish BIG EAST competition. The stretch will begin this Friday, Feb. 20 when the Golden Eagles travel to Providence to take on the Friars at 6 p.m. Central time.
