MU Finishes Road Trip at Cincinnati

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team wraps up its two-game road trip at Cincinnati on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT at Fifth Third Arena.
The Golden Eagles will look to avenge its 62-54 loss to the Bearcats from Feb. 1 at the Al McGuire Center. Katherine Plouffe scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the defeat. The 12-point loss marked the first time in four seasons the game has been decided by more than six points.
With three games left on the regular season BIG EAST schedule, Marquette stands in 14th place. Marquette will play its final home game on Saturday, Feb. 25 when it hosts No. 2/2 Connecticut at the Al McGuire Center. The Golden Eagles close out the regular season at No. 21/18 Rutgers on Monday, Feb. 27. The BIG EAST Conference Championship commences on Friday, March 2 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
Arlesia Morse collected her fourth 20-point performance of the season with 20 points in MU's 79-63 loss at Syracuse on Saturday. Morse has averaged a team-best 18.2 points per game in MU's last five contests.
Cincinnati is in a tie for 10th place with Syracuse with three games left in regular season play. Cincinnati owns the tie-breaker over the Orange following a 55-54 win at the Carrier Dome on Jan. 28. The Bearcats have won five of their last six games entering Tuesday night's meeting with the Golden Eagles.
