NEW YORK--Marquette women's basketball sophomore Danielle King has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
The Chicago native led Marquette (20-7, 11-5) past No. 17/15 DePaul with a career-best 28 points on 11-of-13 shooting, while also dishing a career-high nine assists with five boards and two steals. King scored 11 of her points in the first quarter as the Golden Eagles took a lead 43 seconds into the first quarter and never trailed the Blue Demons again.
