MU Drops a 93-75 Decision to Creighton
The Marquette University women's basketball team dropped to 4-16 on the season and 0-9 in BIG EAST play with a 93-75 loss to the Creighton Bluejays (10-10, 3-6 BIG EAST) Sunday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center.

Morse ranks ninth in the BIG EAST with 14.8 points per game, while Bell is the top freshman and 11th overall at 14.2 points per night. Senior Apiew Ojulu leads Marquette in rebounding with 6.1 caroms, which is 14th in the league.

Creighton fell to DePaul by a narrow 78-76 margin. The Bluejays nearly managed a 10-point second half comeback, but the surge fell just short. Prior to Friday, Creighton had been the BIG EAST's hottest team with a six-game winning streak.

MC McGrory and Alexis Akin-Otiko led Creighton with 16 points.

In the previous meeting in Milwaukee Creighton walked away with a 93-75 victory. Morse tallied 21 points in that contest, including a perfect 15-for-15 from the free-throw line.

Creighton and Marquette have met 10 times previous. The Bluejays lead the overall series, 7-3.

Marquette has just one game left in the regular season and will conclude conference play on Sunday, March 1 at DePaul. That game will air live on CBSSports Network at 3:30 p.m. CT.
