With two games left on the regular season schedule, the Golden Eagles (13-14, 4-10 BIG EAST) own the 14th seed in the BIG EAST Conference Championship. If the championship seeding were decided today, Marquette would face the No. 11 seed on Friday, March 2.

Marquette will complete the regular season at No. 24/18 Rutgers on Monday, Feb. 27.

The Golden Eagles look to finish the season strong after a string of losses with the most recent coming at Cincinnati (60-46) on Tuesday.

Chelsie Butler sparked Marquette with her second double-double performance of her career at Cincinnati. She registered a team-high 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds off the bench against the Bearcats. Butler leads MU's non-starters with 5.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.3 minutes per game.

Katherine Plouffe has stated her case as the league's most improved player as she has started in all 27 games this season.
