PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Marquette University women's basketball team will close out the regular season Monday, Feb. 27 at No. 24/20 Rutgers. The 6:30 p.m. CT tip-off at The RAC will be televised regionally on Verizon FIOS with Ralph Bednarczyk (play-by-play) and Christina Batastini-Sheehan (analyst) calling the action.

The Golden Eagles (13-15, 4-11 BIG EAST) will look to end the regular season on a high note after losing their last five games. If BIG EAST Championship seeding were decided today, Marquette would be the No. 14 seed and play the No. 11 seed on Friday, March. 2.

Sophomore Katherine Plouffe continues to state her case as the BIG EAST's Most Improved Player as she came off the bench and contributed a team-high 16 points in MU's 85-45 loss to No. 4/4 Connecticut. Plouffe is averaging a team-best and career-high 13.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Rutgers (20-8 9-6 BIG EAST) enters its regular-season finale as winners of its last three games at Villanova (61-52), to Seton Hall (62-39) and at Providence (68-47). The Scarlet Knights are currently in a tie for sixth place with Louisville and have secured a bye in the BIG EAST Championship.

The No. 24/20 Scarlet Knights are the sixth ranked team the Golden Eagles will encounter this season. MU is 0-6 in those contests. Marquette is 0-8 all-time against the Scarlet Knights.
