Marquette Concludes Regular Season at DePaul

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's basketball team will conclude its regular season campaign at DePaul on Sunday, Mar. 1. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. Central time at McGrath-Phillips Arena and will be aired live on the CBS Sports Network with Kris Atteberry and Tammy Blackburn on the call.

Last time on the court, Marquette (8-20, 4-13) fell at Creighton 82-60. Despite the loss, three MU players finished in double figures with Cristina Bigica leading the way with 12. Fellow senior Arlesia Morse and freshman Kenisha Bell tallied 11 points and Morse notched her second double-double of the season after grabbing 11 rebounds.

Marquette Drops a 101-67 Decision to DePaul
The Marquette University women's basketball team (4-11, 0-4 BIG EAST) dropped a Friday night BIG EAST matchup to DePaul (11-5, 3-1 BIG EAST) 101-67 at the Al McGuire Center.

Bell was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week following MU's 1-1 road stint. The Minneapolis native averaged 12.5 points, eight rebounds and four assists against Providence and the Blue Jays. The guard leads conference freshman in scoring and has earn the Freshman of the Week honor three times this season.

DePaul (22-7, 14-3) heads into its senior night after defeating Providence 103-66 in Rhode Island. The Blue Demons three-game winning streak has propelled the squad to the top spot in the BIG EAST Conference.

Guard Brittany Hrynko scored 29 points against Providence, including seven three pointers. The senior sits at the top of DePaul stats, averaging 22.1 points per game.

MU and DePaul previously squared off in Milwaukee, with the Blue Demons heading back to Chicago with a 101-67 victory. Senior Apiew Ojulu led Marquette with 13 points, while Bell contributed 12. Freshman Hannah Grim finished with a career-high seven assists.

After the game, Marquette will prepare for the BIG EAST Conference tournament Mar. 7-10 in Rosemont, Illinois, which has the squad locked in as the eighth seed. First round coverage can be viewed on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
