Spots Available for Women's Basketball Summer Camps
April 4, 2012 MILWAUKEE- The Marquette University women's basketball team has announced its 2012 Summer Camp dates. The Golden Eagles will host four camps during the months of June-August. Marquette women's basketball summer camps offer the opportunity for youth athletes to learn and interact with Marquette women's basketball players and coaching staff. Campers will receive small group instruction from some of the BIG EAST Conference's finest players and coaches to work on improving their skills in a great basketball environment. Team Shootout Middle School Team Shootout These one day events are designed to allow teams to compete against competitive teams from around the Midwest. Teams are guaranteed three games. Participants will attend an NCAA eligibility session to get a preview of what it takes to become a collegiate athlete and will also receive a free Marquette t-shirt for their involvement in the Team Shootout. Elite Camp This camp is offered for girls entering ninth through 12th grade in the fall of 2011, and is open to overnight (Friday, June 22) as well as commuter participants. The Elite Camp puts an emphasis on skill development and intense competition for those players who are striving to reach the top of their game.
Day Camp July 30-Aug. 3 Grades 1-8 (Fall 2012) 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Cost: $260 per camper (before July 13), $300 per camper (after July 13) Day Camp provides individual skill development and fundamental skill work in a fun atmosphere for players at every skill level. The camp includes position work, competitive drills, various games and competitions. Open only to commuter participants entering first through eighth grade in the fall of 2012. Lunch will be provided daily for all campers. |
