The Marquette University women's basketball team will open BIG EAST Conference action Tuesday, Dec. 30, against Xavier at the Al McGuire Center, as announced Thursday afternoon by the league office.

The Golden Eagles will be featured on national television on three occasions; beginning with a road contest at Georgetown on Friday, Jan. 2 on FOX Sports 1 with tip-off slated for 6:30 p.m. CT. MU will also be featured on FOX Spots 1 Friday, Feb. 13 when it hosts St. John's at 8 p.m. CT. The remaining nationally televised game will be Sunday, March 1 at DePaul at 3 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network.

Every BIG EAST team will appear on at least two nationally televised games during the regular season. This is also the first year the league will have travel partners and play a Friday/Sunday format. In the 10-team conference, each program plays the other nine teams in home-and-home series during the regular season.

"We are thrilled about our 2014-15 schedule," head coach Carolyn Kieger said. "The BIG EAST is a tremendous conference and our tough non-conference schedule will definitely prepare us for league play. I am ecstatic to be back in the BIG EAST and look forward to competing against the top coaches and programs in the country."

The 2015 BIG EAST Tournament, Presented by New York Life, will be held March 7-10 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois for the second straight season. The semifinals will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and 2 with the championship game set for 7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports 1 on March 10.

Season tickets are currently on sale starting at $40 for general admission, with lower-reserved chairback seats available for $100. A season ticket 'Family Plan' is also available and includes two adult and two youth season tickets for just $100/$150 (GA/Lower Bench).
