BIG EAST Women's Basketball Schedule Released

NEW YORK-- The BIG EAST Conference has unveiled the 2015-16 women's basketball schedule and Marquette University will open conference play on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at DePaul at 7:00 p.m. Central time.
The Golden Eagles will open conference play with three-straight road contests, traveling to Seton Hall and St. John's on Sunday, Jan. 3 and Tuesday, Jan. 5, respectively. Following the opening week the BIG EAST will move to Friday/Sunday play for the second consecutive year.
Marquette will have three BIG EAST games televised nationally beginning with Georgetown on Sunday, Jan. 10 for a noon tip-off on FS2 at the Al McGuire Center. The Golden Eagles will host Providence at 7 p.m. CT on FS1 Friday, Jan. 22 and host Xavier on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 1:30 p.m. CT on FS2. MU's fourth nationally televised game is in the non-conference slate on Thursday, Dec. 3 when the squad hosts Oregon State at 6 p.m. CT on FS1. All remaining conference games will be shown on the BIG EAST Digital Network via Fox Sports Go, which is more than doubled from last season.
For the third straight year DePaul will host the 2016 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament set for March 5-8 at the Blue Demons' McGrath-Phillips Arena, DePaul's on-campus facility located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of downtown Chicago. Opening rounds of the tournament will be shown on the BIG EAST Digital Network, while FS2 will carry the quarterfinals. The semifinals and championship game will air on FS1, Tuesday, March 8.
Season tickets are currently on sale starting at $50 for general admission (upper level & lower bench), with lower-reserved chairback seats available for $100. A season ticket 'Family Plan' is also available and includes two adult and two youth general admission season tickets for just $125.
