MU Women's Basketball to Host Fantasy Camp
Sept. 28, 2017
MILWAUKEE--Marquette University women's basketball head coach Carolyn Kieger is excited to announce the second annual Marquette Women's Basketball Fantasy Camp, hosted by MU staff and student-athletes. The event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the Al McGuire Center beginning at 6 p.m.
For one night, fans will have the chance to dust off their basketball shoes and lace up for a first-hand experience of the dedication it takes to compete at a high-level all-season long.
Fantasy Campers will be taken through several drills, stations, and presentations to enhance basketball fundamentals and gain a better understanding of the game. The evening will conclude with an opportunity to mingle with the players and staff.
"Last year's turnout was impressive and I was amazed by the energy everyone brought to the Al," Kieger said. "Our players always enjoy the chance to be coaches for the night and share their love of the game with our fans. This year we want to make it bigger and better. Please join us as we begin our journey to Fly Higher."
The two-hour camp is completely free of charge and although children are not able to participate they are welcome to spectate from the sidelines. Men and women age 25 and older are eligible to take part in the exciting evening.
Fans who do not wish to partake in the stations are still encouraged to join us for the evening.
