Marquette Madness Tips Off 2014-15 Season Oct. 10

All fans in attendance will receive a free T-shirt.

Marquette University men’s and women’s basketball fans will get their first look at the 2014-15 teams on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. when the programs host the annual Marquette Madness event at the Al McGuire Center.

Admission is free, but seating in the 3,700-seat arena is limited. MUTV will feature a live broadcast, which will be available for free online at beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Fans may begin to start lining up at 4 p.m. and 12th Street will be closed between Wells and Wisconsin at 4:30 p.m. Doors to the Al McGuire Center will open at 6:30 p.m.

Marquette Madness will be the first opportunity for Golden Eagle fans to meet players and coaches from both programs, which are led by first-year head coaches Steve Wojciechowski and Carolyn Kieger.

Highlights of Friday night’s activities include:

  • Free T-shirts (distributed in the arena)
  • Team introduction videos
  • Free men’s and women’s schedule posters
  • Free thundersticks courtesy of Meijer
  • Free chips and salsa for first 1,000 courtesy of Qdoba
  • Dunk contest
  • Coaches vs. Players 3-point Contest
  • Men’s and women’s team scrimmages
  • Post-event autograph session
