MU Set to Host Wisconsin Tuesday at the Al McGuire Center

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's basketball team is back in action at the Al McGuire Center Tuesday, Nov. 15 against in-state rival Wisconsin. Sports32 will carry the 7 p.m. tip-off live with Steve True (play-by-play) and Kareeda Chones-Aguam (analyst) on the call.
The contest against the Badgers is Marquette's $2 Tuesday promotion, featuring $2 general admission tickets and select concession items. Free Jimmy John's sandwiches will also be available to all students in attendance.
It will be the 19th meeting between the two schools, with the Badgers leading the all-time series 10-8. Marquette snapped its two-game skid against the Badgers with a 66-52 win at the Kohl Center on Nov. 24, 2010.
The Golden Eagles (1-0) are coming off a 69-61 season-opening win over Mississippi Valley State Saturday. Sarina Simmons registered her first double-double of the season with 12 points and an Al McGuire Center record 19 rebounds. Katherine Plouffe led all scorers with 17 points, while freshman Arlesia Morse chipped in 11 points in her Marquette debut.
The Badgers (1-1) defeated Milwaukee, 68-51, in their season opener before falling to Oral Roberts, 80-63, on Sunday. Wisconsin's returning leading scorer Taylor Wurtz has paced the Badgers in both games and is averaging 16.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game.
