Marquette Set to Host South Dakota on Sunday

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team (2-3) will conclude its two-game homestand over Thanksgiving week on Sunday, Nov. 30 when the squad hosts South Dakota (3-2). Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.

The game will be streamed live and for free at www.GoMarquette.com with Kyle Dlabay (play-by-play) and Eric Brooks (analyst) on the call. Live stats are available via GameTracker, along with Twitter updates @MarquetteWBB.

The Golden Eagles held on to defeat crosstown school Milwaukee, 85-80 on Wednesday evening. Freshman Kenisha Bell led four player s in double figures with a career-high 21 points. Senior Apiew Ojulu notched her first double digit game of the season with 16 points, while Lauren Tibbs added 12 points and senior Arlesia Morse tallied 11 points.

Morse is averaging 16.8 points per contest this season and ranks sixth in the BIG EAST, while Bell's 15.0 points per game is ninth in the league. Bell has tallied a double digit effort in each of her five collegiate games played this season.

South Dakota enters the game with a 3-2 overall record and has played four road games already this season. The Coyotes are led by Raeshel Contreras with 17.8 points per game, while Nicole Seekamp is second on the squad with 16.0 points each game.

The Coyotes advanced to the 2014 NCAA Tournament for the first time after winning the Summit League Tournament title that year.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams.

Following South Dakota, Marquette will have a quick turnaround and travel to Auburn on Tuesday, Dec. 2 for the first game in a to-game road stint. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT at Auburn Arena.
