Marquette Set to Play at Auburn on Tuesday

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's basketball team opens a two-game road-stint on Tuesday, Dec. 2 when the squad travels to Auburn to face the Tigers. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. Central time at Auburn Arena and will air on the SEC Network +. Live stats and a live audio stream are available at www.auburntigers.com.
The Golden Eagles look to get back to winning ways on Tuesday after dropping a tightly contested 69-65 game against South Dakota on Sunday. Freshman Kenisha Bell paved the way for MU in the game with a career-best 22 points. Bell was tabbed as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after averaging 21.5 points per game in two games last week. She is the league's highest scoring rookie and ranks ninth among BIG EAST members.
Auburn has dropped two games in-a-row, at Virginia and at Winthrop. The Tigers own a 3-2 overall record heading into Tuesday's game and are led by Tra'Cee Tanner with 16.6 points per game and 5.6 rebounds. Brandy Montgomery is also averaging double digits at 13.0 points per contest.
This is just the second meeting between Marquette and Auburn with the Golden Eagles earning a win, 65-61 in the previous meeting. The team's faced off in the U.S. Virgin Islands on Nov. 24, 2006.
Marquette will travel West to Madison and face in-state rival Wisconsin on Saturday, Dec. 6. Tip-off is at 1 p.m. CT at the Kohl Center.
