MILWAUKEE- The Marquette University women's basketball team will return to the Al McGuire Center for the first time since mid-November on Wednesday, when the Golden Eagles welcome No. 7/7 Oregon State for a 6 p.m. Central time tilt.

The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 with Jeff Levering and LaChina Robinson calling the action from the sidelines.

Fresh off a championship in the 2015 FIU Turkey Slam, head coach Carolyn Kieger's squad will look to continue the style of play that resulted in Marquette (2-4) earning its first two victories of the young season.

Freshman guard and BIG EAST weekly honor roll selection Allazia Blockton has paced the offensive attack for the Golden Eagles, as the Milwaukee native is averaging 16.3 points per game, in addition to pulling down 6.8 rebounds per contest. Blockton's 16.3 ppg average is currently tops among BIG EAST freshmen.

In their most recent contest, Marquette pulled out a 98-90 victory against the previously unbeaten Richmond Spiders. Six Golden Eagles scored in double figures in the contest, with freshman Natisha Hiedeman leading the way, notching 21 points. Blockton also chipped in 18 points, while junior McKayla Yentz added 16 of her own to help down the Spiders.

Oregon State has started the season with five consecutive victories, including capturing a title in the 2015 San Jaun Shootout this past weekend. The No. 7/7 Beavers mark the highest ranked opponent for MU since Nov. 23, 2014, when the Golden Eagles were defeated by No. 7/7 Duke, 83-51.

The Beavers are led by junior guard Sydney Wiese, who has been effective in all offensive facets of the game, scoring 13.8 ppg, grabbing 7.4 rebounds per game, and dishing out 6.4 assists per contest. Senior Jamie Weisner has also been key for OSU, as the team's leading scorer (20.2 ppg) is shooting a scorching 63.6% from the field and 60.0% (15-25) from downtown.

Following the contest with Oregon State, Marquette will continue its three-game home stand with a match-up against the rival Wisconsin Badgers at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Al McGuire Center, which will air live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
