Marquette to Host Arkansas Pine Bluff Sunday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's basketball team is back in action Sunday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center when it hosts Arkansas Pine Bluff at 2 p.m.
Marquette will stream the game live, free of charge, on GoMarquette.com's multimedia platform, MUTube with Kyle Dlabay calling all of the action.
The Golden Eagles (4-4) will look to rebound after a 66-50 loss at No. 23/17 Green Bay Friday evening. Katherine Plouffe scored a game-high 15 points, while going 7- of-8 from the floor, in the loss. She leads the Golden Eagles with 14.0 points per game.
Marquette had a productive night at the free throw line at Green Bay and made 75 percent of its attempts (18-of-24), its third highest total of the season. Freshman Apiew Ojulu found her way to the charity stripe and knocked down a season-high nine of her 11 attempts.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-5) will be playing its sixth straight road game and has suffered losses at Nebraska (95-43), San Diego State (86-43), Memphis (89-60), LSU (80-28) and Mississippi (83-52). The Lady Lions are led by Lakendra Marsh with a11.0 points per game.
Sunday's game will be the third all-time meeting between the Golden Eagles and the Lady Lions. The two teams met in 2007 and 2010 with Marquette claiming both wins. Marquette is 2-0 against teams from the SWAC this season with a wins over Mississippi Valley State (69-61) and Prairie View A&M (71-51).
