MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team opens a three-game stretch against local Wisconsin squads beginning Tuesday, Dec. 6 when the squad welcomes Green Bay to the Al McGuire Center at 7:30 p.m. Central time.

The game will be shown locally on TWC SportsChannel 32 with Patrick Reed and Kevin O'Connor calling the action from the sidelines.

Marquette is 6-1 this season and is receiving votes in the AP Poll for the third consecutive week with the lone loss in a neutral contest to Santa Clara over Thanksgiving weekend. Most recently, the Golden Eagles are coming off of a 77-61 victory over Western Illinois, a historic game for the team as sophomore guard Natisha Hiedeman tallied just the second-ever triple-double in program history with 12 points, a career-best 18 rebounds and 10 assists. It is just the ninth triple-double in Division I this year and the most rebounds for a BIG EAST player.

Every available player saw time as eight freshmen made their collegiate debuts as the Marquette women's basketball team dropped its season opener at Green Bay, 75-55, on Friday evening at the Kress Center.

The Golden Eagles are led by sophomore Allazia Blockton, who also leads the BIG EAST with 19.6 points per game, while Erika Davenport is eighth in the conference at 14.4 points per game. Davenport is just shy of averaging a double-double with 9.9 boards, which is second in the league. She has recorded a double-double in five of MU's seven games this season.

Hiedeman is tallying 13.0 points per game, which ranks 15th in the BIG EAST and is third in the league with 4.6 assists each contest. She has increased her rebounding average to 7.0 after two-straight games reaching double-digits for the first time in her career.

Green Bay is also 6-1 this season and is also receiving votes in the AP Poll, with its lone loss coming in a four-point defeat to then No. 1 Notre Dame 71-67. The Phoenix are paced by Mehryn Kraker with 16.7 points per game and 4.4 assists, while Jessica Lindstrom is grabbing 10.7 boards per contest. Green Bay is currently on a four-game win-streak.

Tuesday is the 41st meeting between the two programs with the Phoenix owning a 33-8 record all-time, including the previous four meetings. MU's last victory was Dec. 12, 2010 in a 63-60 battle at the Al McGuire Center.

Following this game, the Golden Eagles will head up on I-94 for a meeting with in-state rival Wisconsin. That game will tip at 1 p.m. CT at the Kohl Center and air live on the Big Ten Network.
