MILWAUKEE--The Marquette Golden Eagles (2-6, 0-0) look to return to their winning ways, when they host the Northern Kentucky Norse (4-5, 0-0) for a 7 p.m. Central time tilt at the Al McGuire Center Monday, Dec. 15.

Despite trailing by just three points at halftime, Marquette fell 89-64 at in-state rival Wisconsin this past Saturday, Dec. 6. Marquette saw the Badgers burst out of the gates in the second half with a 10-2 run in the first four minutes, and were unable to keep pace with Wisconsin from that point forward. Senior Apiew Ojulu paced Marquette offensively with 13 points, while fellow senior Arlesia Morse chipped in with 11. Morse put forth a strong effort in the first half, scoring all 11 of her points and adding seven rebounds. Lauren Tibbs was the third Golden Eagles in double figures with 10.

Northern Kentucky, losers of two-straight contests, fell 65-59 to IPFW in it last time out. Despite a late rally the Norse were unable to break through against IPFW, who led by as many as 15 in the matchup. Melody Doss, Christine Roush, Kelley Wiegman and Kaitlyn Gerrety all tallied double-digit point totals for the Norse.

Doss leads Northern Kentucky in scoring at 12.8 points per contest, and is also tied for the team lead in 3-pointers made. Gerrety takes care of the majority of the rebounding for NKU, grabbing a team-high 6.3 boards per contest.

Morse is enjoying a fine start to her senior campaign, scoring a team-high 15.4 points per game. Morse is shooting an impressive 93.3 percent from the charity stripe, while converting nearly 40 percent of her 3-point attempts. Morse has scored in double figures in all eight of Marquette's games so far this season.

This will be the first matchup between the two programs.

Monday's showdown with Northern Kentucky marks the beginning of a four-game homestand for the Golden Eagles. After it squares off against the Norse, Marquette is set to host Vanderbilt, Western Illinois and its BIG EAST Conference lidlifter against Xavier.
