Marquette to Host Navy Wednesday at Noon

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's basketball team (4-5) looks to snap a three-game losing streak as the Golden Eagles host Navy (6-5) in a contest that begins at noon at the Al McGuire Center.

Wednesday is MPS day and Marquette will welcome multiple Milwaukee Public Schools to the Al McGuire Center. Over 3,000 children are expected to be in attendance.

In its last outing, MU fell 82-71 to Toledo, though four players scored in double figures. Junior Katherine Plouffe posted her fourth double-double this season.

Navy visits the Al for just the second time in its history. The Midshipmen played in Milwaukee on Dec. 29, 2006 and fell to the Golden Eagles.

In its last game, Navy fell on the road to Mount St. Mary's in a 53-45 deficit.

Plouffe leads MU in scoring with 12.2 points per game and with 8.1 rebounds per contest.
