The Golden Eagles (4-5) have won four of their last five games and two straight contests, including a 70-69 overtime victory over Auburn on Dec. 13. The lone loss in that stretch was a narrow, 65-58 margin to No. 7 Oregon State.

MU is led by reigning BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Allazia Blockton, who has come on strong in her young career with 16.2 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per night. She ranks third in the BIG EAST in scoring and is the league's top scoring freshman. Classmate Natisha Hiedeman is second on the squad with 12.9 points per game.

Arizona State holds a 6-3 overall record and has won three straight contests, including a victory at then-No. 19 Syracuse, heading into Saturday's game. The Sun Devils are led by Quinn Dornstauder with 11.8 points per game. Two of ASU's three losses, against current No. 8 Kentucky (68-64 in OT on Nov. 15) and current No. 2 South Carolina (60-58 on Nov. 27 in Hawaii), have come by a combined six points to two of the nation's top eight teams.

This is the third meeting between the two squads and the first since 1997.

Following the trip to Arizona, the Golden Eagles will stay local and venture across town to face local-foe Milwaukee on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. CT. That game will air live on ESPN3.
