2013: Registered 10 draw controls, fifth-best on the team ... Recorded four games with two or more draw controls ... Appeared in all 17 games (seven starts) ... Started and recorded a ground ball and two draw controls in Marquette's first game ever at Winthrop (Feb. 15) ... Scored her first career goal in a loss to Duquesne (Feb. 23).

High School: Kern was a three-time letter winner in lacrosse at Saratoga Springs High School ... Named to US Lacrosse Girls' High School All-Academic Team as a junior ... Three-time scholar athlete award winner at Saratoga Springs, while competing for head coach, Sue Hoffman ... Also earned two letters in field hockey.

Personal: Kern was born in Sloatsburg, N.Y., and is the oldest of three children to Becky and Greg Kern ... Has two younger siblings, Molly and Riley ... Mother played field hockey and lacrosse, while father wrestled at SUNY-Oneonta ... Plans to major in biology.
