LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Marquette University women’s lacrosse team fell to the University of Louisville 21-2 on Sunday afternoon at U of L Lacrosse Stadium.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 10-0 lead they never relinquished and notched the first 14 shots on goal of the contest.
Marquette did not register a shot on goal until Dubois scored on a free position attempt with 9:44 remaining in the opening half. Dubois entered the game for starter Margaret Kerr on the attack and scored with U of L’s Kaylin Morissette in the penalty area after she received the game’s first yellow card.
Baas added Marquette’s second tally of the game with 22:15 left in the second half on a feed from Costanza with a man advantage.
Costanza netted a goal with the scoreboard sitting at 18-2, but it was waived off after Costanza was given a yellow card from a dangerous follow through.
The Cardinals added the game’s final five goals for the final tally of 21-2.
The Golden Eagles return to action Friday, April 12 against Georgetown at Valley Fields in Milwaukee and will host Loyola Maryland on Sunday, April 14.
