NEW YORK – Sophomore midfielder Allison Lane was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following a superb all-around effort in a 14-5 win over Detroit, the league office announced on Tuesday.

The Asbury, N.J. native picks up her first weekly accolade of the season after contributing a little bit of everything in the team’s convincing 14-5 win over Detroit on Sunday. Lane totaled a season-high four goals, while chipping in three ground balls, three draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Lane leads the Golden Eagles (2-4) with 12 goals, scoring at least a goal in all six games on the year, while also leading the team with 31 shots, including 23 shots on goal. She is also just one of two MU players to reach double figures in both ground balls and draw controls, having 13 and 10, respectively.

Lane and the Golden Eagles are back in action today, taking on Northwestern in a rare Tuesday matchup from Lakeside Field in Evanston, Illinois. Live stats and video are available for today's game.
