Women's Lacrosse Takes on Winthrop at Home Sunday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's lacrosse team plays its third home game of the season when it takes on Winthrop this Sunday, March 23 at Valley Fields at noon CT.
Admission is free for all Marquette students, who will receive free Pizza Hut for attending. Further, the first 100 students to the game will receive Marquette texting gloves.
After the match, kids have the opportunity participate in a 45-minute clinic with current players and coaches.
For fans not attending Sunday's game, lives stats will be available through Gametracker.
Marquette (3-5) is coming off a 12-5 defeat at No. 6/10 Notre Dame on Wednesday night. Freshman Amanda Bochniak led the Golden Eagles with three points, including a pair of goals, while three different MU players also scored.
MU is looking to pick up its second win at home this season.
Bochniak and sophomore Hayley Baas have enjoyed two of their best performances at home this season. In a home loss against Duquesne, Bochniak notched a hat trick. Later that week, Baas scored a season-high four goals in a 10-7 win vs. Coastal Carolina.
Winthrop (3-5) is traveling to Milwaukee after picking up a 14-12 win against Michigan, whom MU beat 12-10 on Feb. 28. Jenna Kasmarik led the Eagles with six goals to beat the Wolverines in Michigan Stadium. Eagle goalie Camille King made 16 saves in the cage to help Winthrop to victory.
