Official BIG EAST Release

NEW YORK – Senior attacker Amanda Bochniak was one of three named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after an impressive week which included her becoming the third Golden Eagle to reach 100 career points, the league office announced on Tuesday.

With an assist against Cal last Thursday, Bochniak joined Hayley Baas (’16) and current teammate Claire Costanza as the only three members of the 100-point club at Marquette.

The Fallston, Maryland, native then produced an encore performance on Sunday that ranked among her all-time best as she recorded a career-high four goals and four assists en route to a 16-10 win at Cincinnati in the league opener.

In two games combined on the week, she tallied four goals on just seven shots, five assists, two draw controls and a caused turnover. On the season, she ranks second on the team in points (24), second in assists (13) and fifth in goals (11).

The Golden Eagles (3-6, 1-0 BIG EAST) will remain in league action and close out a season-long seven-game road swing at Temple on Saturday, March 25. Game time is set for 12 p.m. Central time in Philadelphia, Pa.
