Official BIG EAST Release

NEW YORK – Senior Amanda Bochniak was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after contributing a game-high six points, including a hat trick, in Marquette’s 20-6 win over Villanova, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Five of her game-high six points came in the midst of a dominating first half that provided an 11-2 advantage for the Golden Eagles on Saturday. The Fallston, Maryland, native helped lead Marquette to a convincing win and second triumph in the past three games to pull into a tie for second place in the BIG EAST Conference.

The senior has been on a tear over the previous three outings, totaling 18 points on nine goals and nine assists. She is tied with Julianna Shearer for the team-lead with 34 points and leads the squad with 18 assists. Bochniak recently became the third MU player to reach 100 career points and, through 11 games this season, has boosted that number to 118 points on 54 goals and 64 assists in her illustrious career.

Bochniak and the Golden Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday, playing host to No. 3 Florida at Valley Fields. First draw is set for noon Central time.
