BIG EAST Release

NEW YORK - Sophomore goal keeper Sarah Priem of the Marquette University women's lacrosse team earned the first BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll nod of her career on Tuesday, the league announced.

Priem tied career highs with 14 saves and six ground balls in a 12-5 loss at No. 19/RV Georgetown on Saturday afternoon. The Berwyn, Pa., native turned away six shots in the opening 30 minutes of action and stopped eight of Georgetown's 15 shots on net in the second half to finish the afternoon with a .538 save percentage.

She held strong in net despite a 19-2 shot disparity in the second half as the Hoyas broke free from a halftime tie with the final seven goals of regulation.

Sophomore Hayley Baas (March 4) and freshman Amanda Bochniak (Feb. 18, March 11 and 25) have each been named to the league's weekly honor roll in Marquette's inaugural BIG EAST season, while Claire Costanza was the conference's offensive player of the week on April 1.

The Golden Eagles (5-6, 1-1 BIG EAST) return to action on the East Coast with games at Rutgers on Friday and a Sunday tilt at Connecticut.
