April 22, 2014
NEW YORK - Sophomore defender Elizabeth Goslee of the Marquette University women's lacrosse team earned the first BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll nod of her career on Tuesday, the league announced.
Goslee posted six ground balls and five caused turnovers in a pair of games against Temple and Villanova. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native pestered attackers all weekend and was able to collect four ground balls and cause a career-best five turnovers in Thursday's loss to Temple.
Her defense against Villanova also helped the Golden Eagles mount a 5-0 run to close the game, before ultimately falling short, 10-9, on Saturday afternoon.
Goslee is second on the team in ground balls with 24 and caused turnovers with 21.
The Golden Eagles (5-10, 1-5 BIG EAST) will conclude their first season in the BIG EAST on Thursday when the team travels south to face No. 18 Louisville (12-3, 6-0 BIG EAST). MU will host its season finale on Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m. against USC for Senior Day at Valley Fields.
