Lane, Hill Chosen to Compete in IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

May 25, 2018

SPARKS, Md. – Former Marquette University women’s lacrosse players Allison Lane and Riley Hill have been selected to compete in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game, both representing the North, on Saturday, June 2, it was announced today.

The 44 players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams: North and South. The Senior All-Star game will be held on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The Division I teams will begin at 10:30 a.m. Central time. Admission is free of charge and a live web-stream will be provided via IWLCA-tv.com.

Lane set career-highs in every statistical category during her senior campaign and was rewarded with her third-straight All-BIG EAST selection after being named to the first team for the second time in her career. She registered a point in every game this season and tallied at least one goal in every regular season contest, including 14 multi-goal efforts and seven hat tricks.

A stat-stuffing machine, the Asbury, New Jersey, native totaled 39 goals, 14 assists, 53 points, 47 ground balls, 82 draw controls and 25 caused turnovers. She finished her career second all-time in career draws (183) and ground balls (111), third in goals (104) and fifth in points (130).

Hill tied Grace Gabriel for the team lead and most points in a single season in program history when she registered a career-best 67 points during her senior campaign. Her 33 goals tied for the seventh-most in a single season at Marquette, while her 34 assists ranked second.

The West Islip, New York, native scored a point in 17-of-18 games this season. She recorded multi-point efforts 15 times, including two eight-point performances, which set a career-high and ranks second all-time for most points in a game.

She finished her career as the second all-time leading scorer in program history with 154 career points on 87 goals and 67 assists.

Lane and Hill are two of just three BIG EAST representatives, joining Temple defender Nicole Latgis, and it marks the third-straight season Marquette has had a representative in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game. Sarah Priem was the first Golden Eagle to compete in 2016 followed by Julianna Shearer in 2017.
