MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s lacrosse team begins its fall season with a home tournament at Valley Fields on Sept. 29 and will travel to Midwestern powers Northwestern and Notre Dame in addition to Ohio State and Michigan.
“We are very excited about our fall schedule again this year,” Marquette head coach Black said. “We are playing some of the top teams in the country, which will help us prepare for the season. Any opportunity to get a game in against top teams such as Northwestern and Notre Dame is a great learning and growing experience for our team.”
The fall home tournament on Sunday, Sept. 29 will include Cincinnati and Grand Valley State at the Valley with competition beginning at 8 a.m. The Golden Eagles lost to the Bearcats during the 2013 regular season and will host the Lakers for the second-straight fall in Milwaukee.
