2002: Baker saw action in seven matches in her first year at Marquette. She made her career debut against Ohio (Aug. 30). Her playing time became more significant as the season progressed, culminating in an appearance against Cincinnati (Nov. 9) in the C-USA title match. At Valley: Baker played high school soccer at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. A very busy student-athlete, Baker also lettered in cross country, track and basketball in high school, but it was soccer in which she excelled. A four time letter winner, Baker was a four time academic all-conference selection and was a first team all-conference selection leading her team to state tournament appearances in her first three years. As a a senior, she was second team all state and was named to the first-team state tournament team. She also served as team captain as a senior. She also has experience playing for the Iowa ODP for the last three seasons. Academically, she was on the honor roll for four years and graduated with honors. She also was presented the U.S. Armed Forces Award for Athletic and Academic Excellence. She was voted most athletic female of her senior class and was an Iowa scholar.
