Scored the game-winning goal in MU's 3-0 win over DePaul in the BIG EAST Championship Quarterfinals (10/31) ... Tallied her first career goal in a 2-1 loss at BYU (9/11) ... Scored MU's first goal in a 2-1 win at Pittsburgh (9/26) ... Provided the game-winning assist of Maegan Kelly' s goal in a 1-0 win over UC Santa Barbara (9/5), and assisted two of Rachael Sloan's game-winners in a 2-1 win at Georgetown (10/3) and in a 2-0 win over St. John's (10/22) ... Posted 30 shots, 12 on goal ... Assisted Rachael Sloan's game-winning goal against Central Michigan (11/12) in the NCAA Championship First Round. 2009:One of three freshman to see action this season. Played in 17 games. Registered four shots for the season at St. John's and against Villanova, West Virginia and Notre Dame. Prior to Marquette: Brown played for Lake Zurich High School, helping the team to the state, sectional and regional championship in 2007. She was named the conference newcomer of the year and was a first team all-conference, all-area, and all-state selection. Brown represented the Eclipse Select Soccer Club, winning the Disney Showcase Championship in 2008 and 2009, and the Illinois State Cup championship in 2009. Rachel Brown played with fellow incoming freshmen Carly Smith and Karissa Miller on her Eclipse team. She captained the Sockers FC from 2000 to 2006. Personal: Brown was born on April 15, 1991 to Randy and Joan Brown. She has two sisters, Katie and Sara, who plays on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team.
