Sebastian Jansson Earns Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

Jansson notched game winners vs. ND and WVU

2011:Played in 11 games and has made two starts against DePaul (9/22) and Notre Dame (9/25) ... Made her first career start against DePaul ... Named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week following wins over DePaul and Notre Dame.

Prior to Marquette:Fritzlen earned four varsity letters at Notre Dame de Sion where she was coached by Marquette alumni Matt Darby and Carolyn (Klopp) Darby. In 2011, she received Missouri's Defensive Player of the Year honors, was named the Western Missouri Region Player of the Year and to the NSCAA All Region Midwest Team. She earned repeat first team all-district and all-state honors following her junior and senior seasons. A two-time co-captain, she helped lead her high school to a state championship in 2008, back-to-back third place finishes in 2009 and 2010, and a runner-up finish in 2011. Her club team, KCFC Intensity, won five straight Kansas Cup State Championships from 2005-2010. KCFC won two Region II titles in 2006 and 2008 and earned berth to nationals those same years. She helped KCFC Intensity ECNL to the ECNL U18 National Championship in 2011.

Personal: Fritzlen is the daughter of Tom and Kelly Fritzlen. She has two brothers John and Joe.
