2002: Klopp was a key contributor for the Marquette offense in her junior year, starting in all but one match. She netted a pair of goals on the season, her second-best career total, and took a career-best 38 shots. She had her most active match at Dayton (Sept. 8) in which she took four shots and netted her second goal of the year, an unassisted strike in a 1-0 win. The match winner was her third in as many years. She had also scored in the season opener against Ohio (Aug. 30). She also tallied an assist in MU's 3-2 win over UAB (Oct. 2).
2001: After a stellar freshman season, Klopp earned her way into the starting 11 for most of the season. She was on the field at first whistle in 16 of the 21 matches in which she played. She was a valuable attacker despite a dip in scoring from her freshman season. Klopp scored once and had assists on two others. She earned her first point of the season, assisting a Kate Gordon goal against Louisville (Oct. 21). She put the ball in the net in the C-USA quarterfinals against Houston (Nov. 7) for the second goal of her career against Houston. In addition to scoring the match winner, she assisted on the first goal against Houston, also a score from Gordon.
2000: Klopp made the most of her opportunities in her freshman year, playing in 18 matches, starting five. She attempted 21 shots and scored on four of those opportunities, netting 19 percent of her chances. She did not see as much playing time at the beginning of the season due to injury, but proved her worth with a goal against Louisville (Sept. 15). She earned more playing time after scoring the game winner against nationally-ranked Brigham Young in a 2-1 win (Sept. 22). She netted a goal in the next match at Memphis (Sept. 24) and scored against Houston (Oct. 13). Klopp was tied for sixth on the team in goals. She also assisted on Kate Gordon's game winning goal in the NCAA Tournament against Wright State. She finished seventh on the team in scoring and was named to the C-USA all-freshman team.
At Divine Savior-Holy Angels: Klopp was a four-year starter in soccer for the Dashers and captured 2000 first-team all-state honors as selected by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She totaled 20 goals and 18 assists her final year in helping the DSHA to a berth in the finals of the WISAA state final. A four-time all-conference selection, Klopp garnered a pair of all-area first-team berths. She was DSHA's leading scorer for three seasons and was an all-state honorable mention as a junior. Klopp participated in the Wisconsin ODP for four years and was selected for the Regional Pool on two occasions. In 1998, she was named the MVP of the "A" Flight Final at the WAGS National Club Team Championships.
Personal: Born March 7, 1982, Klopp is the daughter of James and Sheila Klopp. Her older brother, Jim, played soccer at Wis.-Milwaukee while her older sister, Julie, played volleyball at Wis.-Milwaukee. A four-year member of the National Honor Society while in high school, Klopp is a dental hygiene major.
