2015 (R-So.): Played five minutes in MU's BIG EAST opening 5-1 win over Creighton (9/27).
2014 (R-Fr.): Played in five contests in her first season of action ... Appeared in first collegiate match against Texas A&M (9/14) ... Saw action against Creighton (9/25).
2013 (RS): Did not see action as a first-year player.
Prior to Marquette: Roman was a three-year letter winner in soccer and lacrosse at Mount St. Joseph Academy... Captain of her soccer team her senior year... Started every high school game her junior and senior year, totaling 13 goals with 16 assists in those two seasons... Earned the Magic Award for outstanding contribution to the team both on and off the field, Offensive Player of the Year, League All-star and League-Wide Player of the Year Award for her defensive efforts throughout her high school career... Played club ball for the Olympic Development Program (2008-09), Montgomery United (U9-U16) and FC Delco (U17-U18)...Won multiple state cup championships and other elite tournament championships in her club soccer career... Awarded first team defensive player her U17 season at the Jefferson Cup tournament.
Personal: Daughter of Kent and Patti ... Youngest of three children ... Was a recreation soccer referee for six years in addition to helping train youth soccer teams ... Majors in journalism.

What does being a part of the FAMILY mean to you?
Being a part of this "FAMILY" means that I have 34 sisters and always a friend to hangout with.
What accomplishment during your time at Marquette are you most proud of to-date?
I am most proud of my freshmen year when we went undefeated in the BIG EAST!
At the conclusion of your collegiate career, what are your professional goals (soccer, career, etc.)?
After college I plan to work in the journalism field.
How did you spend your summer?
This summer I was home in Blue Bell. I spent most of my time with family and friends at the Jersey Shore. I played soccer, worked and prepared for this fall.

I prefer Instagram and Snapchat.
Are there any specific rituals or superstitions that you have on match day?
No specific rituals or superstitions, just focus and visualize about winning the game.
Who is your biggest inspiration (athletic or otherwise)?
My biggest inspirations are my teammates and God.
Favorite professional sports team?
I am usually a Phillies and Eagles fan, but Philadelphia is embarrassingly pathetic in sports right now.
Favorite sport other than soccer?
My favorite sport to watch is college football.
If you had to win at a random sport, which teammate would you select to play with?
I would have Morgan Proffitt to play with me, a great athlete overall!
Best athlete (non-teammate) at Marquette?
The best athlete at Marquette is on the women's soccer team, sorry I'm not sorry!
Favorite meal/food? Favorite Milwaukee eatery?
My favorite food would have to my dad's eggplant, mozzarella and tomatoes. In Milwaukee, I love Cafe at the Plaza.
Favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
My favorite thing to do in Milwaukee is bike ride to Lake Michigan and run along the shore.
Most unique teammate?
My most unique teammate is Eli.
Most talented teammate outside of soccer (what area/discipline?)
Andee Nelson really excels in the classroom. I like to brag that she interned for Exxon Mobil this summer.
Is there anything that people are surprised to learn about you?
Most people are surprised to hear that I pronounce "water" like "wooder."
An interesting fact about your hometown?
There is really nothing too special about Blue Bell, yet I still love it there.
Favorite vacation destination?
My favorite vacation is to the Jersey shore. Nothing beats that home away from home.
What type of music do you prefer to listen to? Any favorite artists?
I really listen to all kinds of music. My favorite is alternative. I really love Walk the Moon and even throwbacks like Panic! At the Disco.
Favorite class taken at MU?
My favorite class, yet one of my hardest classes, was with Professor Lowe in Digital Journalism III.
